In a world where math and music go hand in hand, this is my life, this is my soul. Iconic Soul, Lazy’s first album release is a burgeoning hard-rock genre revealing the power of mystique and love for the music.
From Oslo Norway, he was raised on real rock'n roll like Led Zeppelin, Guns 'n Roses and Aerosmith. He was the lead guitarist in Suicide Bombers from 2011-2017 and released his first album as Lazy on the sixth of December 2017.
Music is my genuine path in life. It is the best way for me to give of myself to this world. I sacrifice for it in a way that I do for nothing else.
It's dirty, decadent, glamorous, delicious and beautiful. It's raw, unpolished, uncontrollable and mysterious. Get ready to get catapulted into a musical landscape of weird tones. Barreling out of the past into the future.
After 10 years and a hard drive crash that almost torpedoed the entire affair, LOWdown follows up their debut album with some new boom bap for your heads and necks. duckyouSUCKER! sees Tirade and C-Doc back in action, doing what they do best, over some rock solid beats and some jazzy, psychedelic loops. Sprinkle in some movie clips and other assorted weird noises and you'll hear that LOWdown gives Old School Hiphop their own unique flavor.

“The Fast Mothers have recorded what I consider one of the very best albums to come out of Memphis in the past two decades. Soulful, sexy, heartfelt, powerful….you know you’re doing something right whenever someone asks you “who is that?” at a redlight when you have your cd player cranked.” (Radio Memphis)
“Rock ‘N’ Roll is from Memphis…and so are we.” Chris Ruble, Drummer, The Fast Mothers
The Fast Mothers were founded by Chris and Tracy Ruble, the identical twin sons of the late Tommy Ruble. Tommy was a member of The Cavaliers who were best known for their hit song, “Last Kiss.” He is also the lead vocalist on the official song of Memphis, “One Last Bridge.”
The band began as an outlet for Tracy’s musical creativity. Finding himself for the first time without a guitarist, Tracy taught himself to play rhythm guitar to assist in his songwriting process. Chris, who hadn’t been behind a drum kit since he was eight years old, quickly picked it back up without missing a beat. The pair began writing song after song, and even though they were turning out great material, The Fast Mothers knew they needed additional musicians to enhance and complete their music.
Over the past 10 years The Fast Mothers have had a handful of players come and go, but the current line-up is very strong. Rounded out by a who’s who of Memphis musicians, The Fast Mothers are, on guitars, Wayne Walker & James “Cricket” Warren and on bass, Matt Dees.
The Fast Mothers recorded the follow up to their 2014 self-titled album once again at Broken Snare Studios with producer Jimmy Fulp. This time, in addition to the return of Chris Stephenson on B3 and piano, the band also included a three piece horn section. With the addition of the horns, the band has created a new mix of Southern rock, funk and Memphis Soul. The Fast Mothers are currently promoting the new CD with live headline shows, special guest spots and festivals. The band plans to continue performing and promoting "From the Room of Magic Tunes" and continue to write new songs.
Long time comrades Tirade & C-Doc have been creating music and video works for many years. In 1994 they put a name to these curiosities and LOWdown was born. In 2006 they released their debut album on the SLAMjamz label: “groundZERO”. groundZERO is an album experience that attempts to recapture the breakbeat, bass-heavy Hip-Hop of the early 1990’s mixed with the duo's trademark off-kilter humor.
LOWdown is thrilled to present this exclusive, new vinyl mix of groundZERO in honor of the album's ten year anniversary.
The Train Wreck Endings traveled from their Northern Virginia base to New York City in late December 2016 for a show at the legendary Bitter End on Bleecker Street. Their performance followed one by a gaggle of 5th-grade girls with antlers on their heads who sang Christmas songs for a pack of cellphone-wielding helicopter parents, reminding one of the "Puppet Show... and Spinal Tap" sign from the Spinal Tap film. Undaunted, the antlerless band buzzed through 45 minutes of rock-n-roll, blues, and Americana which led the doorman to exclaim as they rode out of sight, "Hey, we'll have 'em back. What the hell!" This piece of plastic is what happened that December night. The ghost of Bob Dylan was nowhere near, but man, did they have fun...
Birthing from the summer heat of Las Vegas, Addiction Switch brings the rain of Seattle to the Nevada desert. By molding early 90's alternative rock and modern day hard rock, Addiction Switch goes against the grains of emo and pop creating an entirely different form of music. Addiction Switch is raising hell bringing back the sound that made rock 'n roll great. Inspired by bands such as Alice in Chains and Soundgarden, Addiction Switch merges the best of '90s grunge music with a hard rock attitude and catchy hooks.
Melodic and flowing, Pino Lamar blends sweeping synths with hollow-bodied feedback atop bumpin rhythm, tiny glitches, and indecipherably cool lyrics. The album creates a somber mood one second then gently reminds you it needs a ride to school the next. Once there it might throw you in a locker or ignore you altogether; really depends on you. Check out Memo Guerra's video HERE
The personal and artistic journey that Memo Guerra has traversed from his last album material (Abstrakt Muzak, 2013) has been such that it has taken all this time to achieve and complete a worthy follow-up. Moon Phase chronicles the entire process and the result is an album bursting with colour and intricate structures as if it were a choose your own adventure book. Each listen reveals new sonic details.
During that time Guerra recorded Use Your Delusion I and II, by his experimental side-project Cristo (among the best of 2015, Freim) and the <3 EP under his electronic pen aka Cheap Talk, which allowed him to open up to different sonic possibilities and learning new production techniques and composition skills. ‘This experimentation was a key part of the gestation process for Moon Phase, and helped develop a wider musical language to help exhibit a broader range of emotions’, he explains.
Moon Phase, his current bilingual album shows a great leap forward in Guerra’s singular pop vision. The album features contributions from Chivo Elizondo (Los Mundos, Gods of Speed), Jules Vera (Jesus Warr), Jesse Jenkins and Austin Youngblood (Pure X).

blocSonic is very happy to be able to present to you, in conjunction with SLAMjamz, The Impossebulls’ incredible new album, Everything Has Changed; Nothing Is Different. From the beginning, they’ve been unapologetically sticking with that classic 90s hip-hop vibe… giving heads music that harkens back to an era that made the boom and the bap central. This new album is no different. However there is a difference. The difference lies in how well it captures the spirit of that era more so than any of their previous albums have. Listening to this album, it’s clear that these guys have grown up and have been making hip-hop for so long now that their skills have been honed to a polish.
Of course, it doesn’t hurt that they’ve had help from an incredible array of talented artists on this album! Most noteworthy (simply because of the important part they played in the history of this little thing called hip-hop) are Chuck D, DMC (Run-DMC) & Son of Bazerk and No Self Control! That isn’t it though… there’s DJ Lord and Brother Mike Williams of Public Enemy. There’s blocSonic artists CM aka Creative and cheese. Last, but surely not least, there’s also Sekreto & Cabelleros Del Plan G, Belle McNulty, and Tah Phrum Duh Bush who all play such important roles in making this album so memorable!
